German Kyffhäuserbund Kriegsdenkmedaille 1914-18! This medal was instituted around 1922 by the Kyffhäuserbund for award to members who fought in the First World War. This medal was banned from wear after 1936 due to the institution of the Hindenburg Cross (Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer) in 1934. The medal is complete with its original ribbon.

Original German ww1 death card of a gefreiter at infantry regiment 20, company 9. His name was Michael Reitmeier and was 'bauersohn von Widdersdorf' He died on May 28, 1916 by a grenade.
Very interesting death card with picture of the soldier himself!

The lot includes portraits, regular photos, some sammelbilder pictures, postcards, etc. A couple photos are damaged (both minor and nearly torn). Original US jacket from the First World War! The jacket was worn by a captain serving in the Quartermaster Corps. It has two gold stripes at the bottom of the sleeve, each representing six months overseas (so this captain served 12 months overseas). The captain was also awarded the Victory Medal + Four stars! The collar closure is fully intact, the jacket has some damage and some moth holes. The inside of the jacket has some tears here and there.
