RARE German sanitäter POW remagen A2 camp grouping
This set consists of:
- Walking stick of 95cm with the text "zur erinnerung an meine gevangenschaft in Rheinberg 08.04.1945"
- Photo of Josef Mühlemeyer in DAK uniform (very sharp)

- Marschbefehl nach Düsseldorf (return to place of residence)
- Certificate of POW discharge (it says that he missed 1 finger and was discharged from the Luftwaffe?)
- Letter stating what he has done and where he has been.

Josef Mühlemeyer was born on January 18, 1897 in Ratingen (Germany) He was Unteroffizier Sanitäter. On April 30, 1943 billeted at Düsseldorf air base, from June 1 to June 3, 1943 in camp Düsseldorf. From June 11 to 12 air attack on Linselles, June 13 Jagdstaffel Mülheim. From June 13 to July 20 training and exercises, leave from July 20 to August 5. After his leave flight over Paris and back (Date unknown) September 13 reporting in Duisburg and September 18 together with Flakmarine Düsseldorf. March 16, 1945 left for Normandy. He was captured by the allies in the area of Remagen. In POW camp Remagen A2 he helped camp surgeon Thomas F. Mc Daniel from April 16 to June 20 1945. His commander was Dr. Otto Günther.
