German (field)post grouping Gustav Harig
Original German correspondence grouping of Gustav Harig (1943 to 1949). Gustav was a German soldier in the Wehrmacht, his wife was probably in the DRK. Judging by the photos, he probably also served in Greece. Given his title (Dr.), he was a doctor. There are some indications of this in the letters. Given his field post number(s) he served, among others, with 19. kompanie Transport-Begleit-Regiment Wien (field post number 43657)
This grouping contains:
- 1 portrait photo of Gustav in uniform, 7x4.5cm (see photo 3)
- 1 photo of Gustav in uniform with field cap, probably in Greece 1943, 7.2x6cm (see photo 4)
- 1 family photo 1943, 6x9cm (see photo 5)
- 22 loose field post from different years (see photo 6)
- 150+ (field) post (correspondence) between his family in folder. Letters have not been counted so there could be many more! (see photo 7+8)
- Envelope from DRK Altenheim with all kinds of letters in it, including the closing 'Heil Hitler' (see photo 9 to 19)
- Letter in the DRK envelope that was written by someone who wanted to do military service, in it politics and the attack of July 20, 1944 are discussed! That letter was written from Hannover on August 24, 1944, on that day bombs were also dropped on Hannover (see photo 16+17)
All letters in the folder have not been further researched and are therefore ideal for further research! For more photos you can contact us, because it is too much to photograph them all.
