German sanitäter/artillery soldbuch grouping

€150.00
Item number: 0617

Original German soldbuch grouping of a Wehrmacht Sanitäter and kanonier! The set belongs to Heinz-Ludwig Espey, who was born on April 27, 1925, in Neuss. He was 1.86 meters tall, had blond hair, and was Catholic.

The set includes his complete soldbuch (in less good condition), Wehrmacht DRK personalausweis San-Dienstgrad (December 1, 1944), Wehrmacht DRK personalausweis krankentrager (December 12, 1944), civilian fuhrerschein, Reichsarbeitsdienst discharge certificate, and presumably a POW letter from Argonne Hospital Iserlohn (June 18, 1945). There is also a typed A4 sheet with information about him (not wartime!).

Information about him (not everything may be 100% accurate):

Heinz was born on April 27, 1925, in Neuss. He lived at Kaiser-Friedrichstraße 128 in Neuss. He joined the RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) on April 17, 1943 with the rank 'arbeitsman' he was in RAD abteilung 1/241. On August 4, 1943 he was discharged from the RAD and started his service in the Wehrmacht. He started his service as a gunner and soon became a sanitäter, he did this until the end of the war. After/at the end of the war (June 1945) he was in the Argonne Hospital Iserlohn (presumably to support the Allies in the hospital)

After the war, given his title 'dr.' he continued his education in the medical field and eventually died in Neuss on September 15, 2018.

In short, a special Soldbuch set from 1 person, which you come across less and less often!
