Original German Wehrpass set belonging to Eric Meyer, consisting of the Wehrpass, certificate of discharge, and doctor's statement.

Eric was born on October 21, 1926, in Bremen. The Wehrpass was opened on June 23, 1943, by 'Oberleutnant und leiter des Wehrmeldeamtes Delmenhorst' in Oldenburg; Eric was 17 years old at the time.

Many details are filled in, including that he served at 'Luftnachrichtenschule 5'. He has experience with the K98K and Pistole 08. He also obtained his radio operator's license and military driving licence in January 1945. The Wehrpass notes that he was in occupied French territory from April 18, 1944, to July 8, 1944, and in his homeland (Germany) from July 8, 1944, to December 28, 1944.

Also included is one half of his certificate of discharge, stating that he had some medical problems and that he was released by the 15th US Tank Battalion on December 1, 1945.

There is also a doctor's statement regarding his medical status, stating that he suffered from: a gunshot fracture to the right forearm, a double concussion, a double fracture to the left lower ankle, and a headache. It was noted, however, that he was capable of performing light labor.
